For publishers and authors
Find readers for your book
Tell us about the book, who it is for and what a good result looks like. We come back with a plan: which readers to reach, through which newsletters, creators, book clubs and reading groups, what it costs, and how we will measure it. Then we run it.
Send us a briefWhat a campaign looks like
- Four to six weeks, one book. Built around a single title, or a small set that belongs together.
- It starts with your brief. Territory, timing, what you want to happen, budget, the assets you can share and how much time the author has.
- The channels follow the book. Some books suit a specialist newsletter, some a handful of book clubs, some a company reading programme. We don't sell a fixed bundle of posts.
- Test, then commit. We run a small first round, look at what happened, and put the rest of the approved budget where it worked.
- Group orders are their own thing. If a company or club wants copies, that becomes a separate quote with its own terms.
How we report
What was delivered
Every placement, session and send, with links. You can check each one.
What readers did
Tagged clicks, sign-ups and code use where the channel allows it. Counted, not dressed up.
What it did for sales
Extra sales need your sales data or a fair comparison. Where we can't show them, the report says so.
We check the numbers first
Before we start, we work out with you how many extra copies a campaign would need to sell to pay for itself. If that number is out of reach for the book, we would rather change the scope, the objective or the audience, or tell you plainly that it isn't a fit.
What a campaign can't buy
Our lists stay independent. A campaign can put your book in front of the right readers. It can't buy a place, a verdict or a ranking in our collections, guides or reading shortlists. Anything paid on AltBook is labelled as a paid partnership, and we never pay for reviews or buy engagement. How we work.
Where we're starting
Our first focus is Indian business and practical nonfiction, particularly books for first-time managers and ai at work. Other kinds of book are welcome. Tell us about yours.
Send us a brief
Fill in what you know. Rough answers are fine; we'll ask about the rest.
